Bill Gates Is Using His Money to Help Africa’s Health and Education

Africa has been promised one of the biggest private investments in history. In June 2025, Bill Gates, the 13th richest man in the world, said he will give most of his $200 billion wealth to support health and education in Africa.

The plan will focus on child survival, care for mothers, good nutrition, and stronger schools. The money will help with vaccines, digital learning, better food programs, and projects that give children a healthy start.

Bill Gates explained this is not only charity but an investment in Africa’s future.

For families, this could mean fewer child deaths, better schools, and more chances for the next generation. Gates has supported Africa for years, but this is his biggest and longest plan yet.

African rich people also give back. The African Philanthropy Network says they could give about $2.8 billion every year.
