Kidney Problems
What is kidney disease?
When your kidneys stop doing their job properly, toxins build up, causing serious health problems. High blood pressure and diabetes are major culprits, but infections, kidney stones, and even excessive herbal teas can stress your kidneys too!
What do the kidneys do?
- They filter waste and excess water out of your blood.
- They control salt, potassium, and pH levels in your body.
- They produce hormones that regulate blood pressure.
- They help your body absorb calcium for strong bones.
- They tell your body when to produce more red blood cells.
Common kidney myths?
- “Drinking plenty of herbal tea will clean my kidneys.” No! Your kidneys don’t need extra ‘cleansing’—too many herbs can even damage them!
- “I’ll know if I have kidney disease.” Kidney disease doesn’t always show symptoms until it’s serious!
Symptoms of kidney problem?
- Swollen feet and puffy eyes

- Trouble sleeping
- Dark, foamy, or too much/too little urine
