The male reproductive system includes organs essential for sexual activity, reproduction, and urination. These organs create sperm and semen, which help fertilize a woman’s egg. Hormones produced by the system also help develop male traits like muscle and facial hair.

What are the functions of the parts of the male reproductive system?

  • Penis: Releases sperm and urine.
  • Scrotum: Holds and protects the testes.
  • Testes: Produce sperm and testosterone.
  • Prostate & vas deferens: Help transport and nourish sperm.  Urethra: Passage for urine and semen.

Puberty starts around age 12, when boys experience growth spurts, deeper voices, and facial hair. This means their reproductive system is fully developing.
